A Timeless Evening

Another year has come and gone.  NYE is always a time to shine brighter than before to start the new year feeling right.  This year's NYE outfit was like every other year, very last minute, but I was able to find individual pieces to pair up, which you can wear time and time again.  Also not having to worry about running into someone else wearing the same dress as you is always a plus!  I had a wonderful evening with my ladies.  We made it just in time to grab a shot and a champagne glass for the countdown and danced our butts off late into the night!  The crowd was exciting and some were quite interesting. :)

Sweatshirt Chic

Sweatshirts are such a huge thing for me this fall season!  They're not only cozy and comfy but there's definitely a variety of ways to wear a sweatshirt when styled correctly.  Today, I chose to combine a pair of printed leggings with a simple printed logo crewneck sweatshirt to give an edge to my look. Also adding on an arm party full of spikes and chains around my neck.  To complete this look, a pair of heels were needed to give a tough but cool chic attitude!

Simple Casual

Last week's weather was scorching hot that I barely wanted out of the house.  So I am taking full advantage of this week's slightly warmer days.  There are a few must-haves that I've been desiring over this summer: high-waist, stripes and strap shoes.  Rarely have I ever been a denim on denim kind of gal, but reasonably today, all layers were sprucing up quite nicely (in my eyes that is).  At last I have the chance of taking these vintage, mesh sandals out for a stroll.  Adding a touch of chic!  Also, I occasionally will switch my bag or could care less to carry one, but knowing me I tend to "misplace" things for which I must carry something to place my essential items in.  No winning with this one!  :D  So why not have a bag that most often will coincide with just about any wear.

Peplum Turned Blouse

 

It's been a whole week since I've posted anything up.  After my trip to Wisconsin, I was feeling a bit under the weather .  But here is my outfit of the day on my last day in Appleton, WI after church service.

  

My initial idea was to wear the top as seen (here) just the way it is and pairing it with a hot pink pencil skirt, but since the top was a bit loose on me it didn't look fitting with the skirt, so I decided to tuck in the peplum top and viola like magic!  And of course adding a few accessories to complete this look.

Celebrating Another Year of BeauDY! ;)

It has been a week since my birthday!  Every year it seems as if I get younger and younger, at least that's what I feel like.  This year I wasn't planning on doing anything at all, but last minute I decided to celebrate my birthday by having a nice dinner outside, with great company and plenty of laughs!  It was nothing outrageous or over the top, which was just perfect! 

My lovely sister had suggested Townhouse.  I checked out their menu, if they had patio seating, and DRINKS!  YES, YES, YES!!!  That day was pretty muggy, but lucky for us we were able to get seating indoors, which was even better since they had all their windows wide open and the a/c blowing beneath our feet.  So we were able to still get the outdoor experience, but with comfort.

I love the city of Birmingham and it's vibrant atmosphere.  It is definitely one of the most beautiful places in the metro Detroit area.  Birmingham has your choice of upscale shops, coffee shops, ice cream parlors, peaceful restaurants with outdoor patios, an extravagant theater, or a relaxing stroll through the beautiful Shain Park with great scenery, all within walking distance.  I like to think of it as a little big city all packed into one tiny area.

Here is my sister in law Jessica and our appetizers. 

(Charcuterie Cheese & Crispy Brussels Sprouts ) We made my sister's husband's cousin Pakou order the Charcuterie, because we didn't want to butcher the name and she's from France and speaks French.

 

I went with the "build your own salad" to try and eat healthier.  I LOVE goat cheese!

Here is Gigi and Pakou.  I loved that our drinks were poured into cute mason jars and the ice cubes were also cute bite size cubes!

Of course it wouldn't be a birthday without candles and a few wishes!

A great way to end the night!  Thank you so much ladies for celebrating another year with me!  I couldn't have wished for a better evening.  Cheers to greatness!
